Sustainable Growth
Patterson is growing. It's up to us to make sure we grow in a sensible way that develops missing middle housing and empowers local businesses. We must also update our zoning to defend against the expansion of Data Centers, which increases the cost of utilities and ruins water quality.
Empower the Youth
Youth in Patterson are forced away due to a lack of opportunities and voice. I will work to bring over existing programs from the rest of Stanislaus County and to establish a Youth Council. We must also encourage the development of housing accessible to young folks who aren't ready to buy a home.
Empower Local Businesses
Local businesses are struggling to compete with large conglomerates. Let's collaborate with existing organizations in Stanislaus County to bring over training for local entrepreneurs and simplify the permitting process.
Transparency & Accountability
In such a small city, why does the city council feel so distant? Where legally allowed, I will publish my notes publicly, hold bi-monthly office hours, be available by appointment, and publish the reasoning for all my votes.
