About Carlos

Patterson-Born, Patterson-Raised, Community-Rooted

Biography

I was born in Patterson, CA, to Mexican immigrant parents. I attended Grayson Charter School, Creekside Middle School, and Patterson High School. The only years I spent away from Patterson were my college years, when I attended and graduated from UC Berkeley. I have worked as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, and Data Scientist in government, private companies, and with nonprofits. I currently work as a Software Administrator for Stanislaus County.

A phrase you'll hear me repeat often is that government is made up of those who show up — something I learned during my fellowship at the U.S. Census Bureau in 2019. I want to bring government to the people, especially those who are rarely heard from at city council meetings.
